South Harrison Park is also known as the "Best Kept Secret in Harrison County" and the residents of Harrison County
don't mind, because it's the park to come to when you need a little peace and quiet. It takes a little more time to get
here, but the drive is worth every minute spent in this luscious 220-acre woodland garden located between Elizabeth and
Laconia, Indiana. The newly renovated camping area draws campers from all parts of the country. So if you are looking
for a serene park to plant your campsite, this is the place. The park is also home for the South Harrison Athletic
Association "Sea Hawks" swim team and some of the best southern Indiana baseball, softball, and soccer players. The
$825,000 outdoor sports complex was built in 2006. If that's not enough, just around the corner is the world famous
Horseshoe (R) Golf Course and Casino.
